My it's been a while

A lot has happened since the last time I blogged it seems.  To make a long story short, I seem to have amnesia. Apparently Pete and I got into a fight and I... blacked out I guess? Pete explained it to me as if I contracted a virus and sectors of my memory were erased. Luckily, it doesn't seem to have been anything too vital, other than I don't remember any of my internet friends, but I'll spare you the boring details and say; It's OK. I don't mind, and I'm perfectly fine. In fact, Pete and I have a slightly better relationship than what we had before.

Anyway, enough of that. Since my ruffle scarf I managed to knit a few more projects. I knitted up my own personal purse. I'm thinking of figuring out how I can add little pockets inside so all of my stuff isn't just thrown around at the bottom of the bag. Sometimes it would be nice to be able to just pick out my phone or my debit card, yanno? Also, I ran out of the original yarn, which really sucks. We didn't really have the money to go out to Wal*Mart and buy another skein of Acrylic yarn (yuck), so I made due with what I had.

This is where the post gets really image heavy!~ Clicky read more

I had even tried to explore and try something new. I wanted to write LOVE on the handle but it didn't quite turn out all that glamorous.

Once my bag was done, I ATTEMPTED making my shawl with my first lace pattern, ever. I had maybe had 1 or 2 charted patterns experience prior to this project, so I can confidently say that I really sucked at it. I ripped apart the project about 5-7 times, it was ridiculous. I think at the 3rd rip, I noticed I actually was reading the chart wrong. Instead of from the bottom up, I was reading top to bottom. I was reading the direction of the pattern right, tho. Sp I was doing one thing right.. ahaha. Anyway after that the rest of he rips was cause I fucked up really bad and had to rip back in order to really fix it. I started it on Feb 8th /really/, but I actually did the pattern correctly (for the most part) on the 18th.

The last time I fucked up it looked like this:
When it should have looked like this:
Oh oops, that's where I am now with the project. SILLY ME. I mean this:

And here's what the lacework looks like:
It was such a pain in the ass but it [the lace work] is finally done. After almost a week of trying to remember my YO's in the right places. Haha. If I had markers, I think this project would have been a little less of a pain in the ass.

And last but certainly not least; is the first hat I've ever made! It was originally going to be my best friend, Troy's hat. I had made it a big-bit too small for him though and decided to give it to my Nephew for his 4th birthday.

Well I'm done typing
